Around the World from Monks to Tamales
The Asian Art Museum is still home to the Bhutanese monks and their holy scrolls for another month.
Upstairs on the second floor of the museum, right next to the Korean wing...
...a small exhibit of 19th century photos has opened.
Though only 100 to 200 years old, they conjure up a world that feels stranger and more ancient...
...when traveling was a true adventure.
If you go on a Wednesday or Sunday, the Heart of the City Farmers Market is open most of the day next door.
There's a nice fruits and nuts stand...
...and a great, delicious tamale truck near Market Street that's worth a long walk.

Thanks for the walk around the Civic Center esp the wonderful historic photos. The town is burning up, again. Sometimes there is not much too, except have a tall, cool drink.
So Santa Barbara is burning down again? Have a tall, cool drink for me.
