On Cinco de Mayo, we expected to see lots of Mexican bands in San Fracisco's Civic Center Plaza as is traditional, along with thousands of drunk people.
Instead, the plaza had been reserved for a "Cannabis Festival," and people were sitting around stoned instead.
About fifty tents had been assembled to sell everything...
...from "cannabis-flabored candy," which I assume was a euphemism...
...to the latest in hemp clothing.
Though not as lively as the usual Cinco de Mayo crowd, it certainly felt a lot mellower.
