Half-Naked Ballerina Fire Alarm

A couple of hours after Monday morning's 4.3 Bay Area earthquake, there was a fire alarm at the San Francisco Ballet building on Franklin Street.

In the bright noontime sun, the ballerinas looked rather shockingly undressed...

...as they happily crossed the street to safety...

...in the park next to the Opera House.

A herd of horses, pod of whales, a murder of crows: what do you call a flock of sweet and tender young ballet dancers?

Dear momo: Good question. A suite of ballerinas?

I think I would have paid money to see that...

Dear Donald: You are a dirty duck. This is all about appreciation for art and the female form. And who am I kidding? (And who is ballet kidding, while we're at it?)

Part of the surrealism of stumbling across this moment was that I knew I was in somebody else's pornographic moment. Just not mine, which allowed me to pull out my camera and quite unlasciviously document my neighborhood.

Mike, there are also some cute young guys in tights as well. If you want to have smutty older person thoughts about the guy with the red headband in the second picture or the smiling blond in the third, you would be completely within your rights.

Whether you share those thoughts with your partner is completely up to you. I would advise against it.

Hey, I was looking at this purely as the mom of a 14 year old girl! They are indeed sweet little fledglings.

Dear Matty: I'm with momo on this. 15-year-olds have never really been my thing, even when I was that age.

I didn't know they were that age. Some dancers, especially the females, stay so skinny their bodies act like they are pre-pubescent or just slightly after.

15 would make them high school freshman or so. I agree completely, I had no interest in freshman girls even when I was a freshman boy.
