High Tea for Peace 2

The Desert Pride Center is on the second floor of the strip mall and consists of a maze of hallways and tiny rooms...

...many of them named after famous performers.

I didn't see any "Recovery Movement" signage around, but the place felt like it probably hosted a lot of AA and NA meetings...

...though this afternoon was featuring free wine...

...along with the art opening of a group calling themselves "Artists Against War and Terrorism."

The flyer had a "Warning: Some of these images in this show are violent reminders of the dangers of war."

With the exception of the large Photoshop pieces by Dan Irvine...

...the bulk of the art should have had a warning that simply said, "Bad Art Ahead."

Oh well, it got a lot of old hippies out of their houses in Joshua Tree and elsewhere...

...on a visit to downtown Palm Springs, or as they call it, "Down Below."

"Bad Art Ahead" signs should be in regular use.

Very sorry to hear about your cat, too. My sincerest consolations- I hope you'll consider getting a kitten, though.
