Solstice Seashore

Ocean Beach in San Francisco felt like a perfect place for a COVID-free hike on Saturday.
Sparsely populated with people who knew how to keep their distance from each other...
...the ocean was at high tide...
...perfect for getting your feet wet...
...and watching flocks of shorebirds running back and forth as the waves receded and advanced...
...looking as if performing in a slapstick cartoon.
It was feeding time on sand fleas just under the wet ground...
...except when interrupted by off-leash dogs accompanied by clueless humans.
Also fun to watch were surfers darting in and out of lines of waves...
...as we made our way back to the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden in Golden Gate Park.
