After three years of drought in California, this week's rainstorms feel like an answered prayer. However, everyone seems to have forgotten how to drive or operate a transit system with water falling from the skies. The puddle above is at Franklin and McAllister Streets this morning.
Even the soggy pigeons on the wall of a PG&E substation at 8th and Mission...
...seem to have forgotten how to get out of the rain.

The pigeons are too young to have experienced rain,no doubt. Glad the drought has broken.
I love the pigeon photos -- they look like something from a Fritz Lang movie.
Dear Patrick: Really, that's the ultimate compliment. Fritz Lang was god.
