NextBus to Mars
On the north side of Market Street between Montgomery and Kearny, in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District, one of the futuristic new bus shelters has gone up recently, complete with solar panels and a NextBus display advising travelers on how long it will take before the next bus arrives.
The only problem is that the NextBus display has been churning out unintelligible gibberish "for the last week," a fellow passenger said. "More like a month," a gentleman next to him corrected. I just pretend the language is Martian and we're all going on an inconceivable adventure.
