Swine Flu's Silver Lining
After one too many grungy Muni bus rides, I contracted swine flu earlier this week and then passed it on to my partner. It's been a series of days filled with fevers, chills, soaked sheets, headaches, and aching muscles.
There has been a silver lining, however. The cool new cat, Tiger Woods, who has seemingly doubled in size every other week, has been oddly gentle and protective of us during this time, and he feels like a genuine blessing.
I'm so sorry you both are not well! Kitties are a comfort.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon - Tiger looks like he's protecting you two.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all completely well soon! I guess if Muni can't get you one way, it'll get you another.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. We went through that in July -- awful. Also, our cat wanted nothing to do with sick humans; you are lucky to have been adopted by a friendly one.
ReplyDeleteTiger Woods sure has grown...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, cats DO have healing abilities.
Hope your partner makes a speedy recovery.
Wow, Tiger is bigger. Previously, he looked like a shrunk down cat more than a kitten, no oversized head or eyes, but he looks normal sized in these pictures.
ReplyDeleteA very lovely creature, inside and out.
Your posts are still fabulous! Thank you for sharing this one in particular. I lost my wonderful cat friend Miss Kitty several months ago. She, like Tiger, was a precious companion in the good times and even more so in the bad times. I recently adopted Zoe, a 12 year old three-legged cat, whose owner passed away. Happy holidays from me and Zoe to you and your lovely family!
ReplyDeletecute photos of your boys :)
ReplyDeleteGet well soon!
ReplyDeleteLove the cat-shaped hot water bottle.
