What was most heartening to see were young, usually uptight, mostly white boys...
...dancing their way down Market Street...
...without a trace of self-consciousness.
This year the musical "Hair" and the entire hippie trip as a period scene...
...seemed to be the guiding aesthetic.
It was amusing to watch the grandkids of that original generation...
...try on the costumes...
...and the attitudes of that time...
...as if it were Halloween.
It was also delightful just to watch kids having fun in public.
