Security had been set up around Civic Center that was checking bags and asking for a $10 donation to get into the open-air, all-day dance party...
...but I told them I was going to the Asian Art Museum, which was the day's odd hostage of the event, and they let me in for free.
Since my tastes in music don't run to thumping techno...
...and since I had already suffered permanent hearing damage while walking by a bank of loudspeakers on one float...
...I left Civic Center to the young lovers and dancers.

I guess I don't share your enthusiasm for this group. I was on the bus this weekend and the whole bus was "treated" to a loud rant by a group of the costumed ones. They was feeling the LUVE. WOO HOO. At top volume for blocks and blocks and blocks.
