San Francisco LoveFest 1: Assembly

My favorite new parade in San Francisco is the LoveFest, which started four years ago as an offshoot of a huge public dance event that has been taking place in Berlin over the years.

The Berlin LoveFest is no more, but the San Francisco edition seems to be getting more popular and raucous with each annual edition.

The parade consists of 28 semi trucks pulling along floats covered with monster banks of loudspeakers and costumed dancers...

...along with contingents marching on the street with props such as hula hoops.

The parade assembles at 2nd and Mission before going up Market Street to the Civic Center...

...and it attracts legions of horny photographers with big lenses...

...which the revelers either ignore...

...or for which they enthusiastically perform.
