Instead we find out - after the fact - that the land has been sold to another developer to build condos. The space is right under (or almost) the freeway underpass; you'd think that the location would deter anybody from buying the darn things when they are finished. But then, we still don't have the new street lights, greenery, and other urban amenities that we were promised when the new freeway went in.
