I recall there being being many nude bathers in the lower reaches. I certainly wouldn't have drank the water. The trail above the falls was very dangerous, narrow with high cliffs. We spent several nights up there. Absolutely beautiful area.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11380345.post-1168136665909387022007-01-06T18:24:00.000-08:002007-01-06T18:24:00.000-08:00your photos are awesome!remind me to get you a DVD...your photos are awesome!

remind me to get you a DVD of the movie we filmed out that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11380345.post-1167368264329181882006-12-28T20:57:00.000-08:002006-12-28T20:57:00.000-08:00What a gorgeous place! The serious trashing of the canyon, complete with lots of graffiti, seems to have happened when it was made "off-limits" for 30 years, presumably to keep all that nubile youth from getting naked in the waterfall.Civic Centerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362422142667230626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11380345.post-1167226507825675062006-12-27T05:35:00.000-08:002006-12-27T05:35:00.000-08:00I may be completely wrong about this (after all, I...I may be completely wrong about this (after all, I was in grade school at the time), but I believe that the canyon trail was shut down because conservatives were more upset about people skinny-dipping at the falls than anyone dropping trash about, a typical culture-clash of the times.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11380345.post-1167151792499689692006-12-26T08:49:00.000-08:002006-12-26T08:49:00.000-08:00Lovely photos, and thank you for the bits of histo...Lovely photos, and thank you for the bits of history, and the story of Tahquitz.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
