Mirkarimi's Friday Night Art 2: Hall Party

A few of the monthly art openings at Mirkarimi's office lately have been wan affairs, but possibly because of the season...

...or because November and December's parties were combined, the place was jamming and the office party spilled exuberantly into the hall.

It helped that there was a three-piece band...

...that wasn't too loud...

...and which was altogether charming.

Joe Lynn (above right) seemed to know everyone, including Mark Sanchez (above left) who lost to David Campos as Supervisor in District 9.

Joe introduced me to Michael Stoll (above) who is trying to reinvent journalism (click here for "The Public Press")...

...as everyone watched departing Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin make a late entrance and schmooze with the crowd.
